Credit card-related direct mail volume jumped during last year's fourth quarter. It was the first increase in three years, although the total amount of credit card mail pieces pails in comparison to pre-recession amounts, according to research from Mintel Corporation released January 28.

The use of loyalty programs is on the rise, but marketers still aren't connecting to their most valuable customers as well as they could be, according to a study released January 25 by the Chief Marketing Officer Council.

American Express has launched LoyaltyEdgeSM, a practice area that will help the company's corporate clients develop or enhance loyalty programs. Delta Air Lines is the first client of the unit, which was announced January 22.
 

Valassis to manage list in house

Valassis announced January 25 that it will bring management of Valassis Lists products, including its 151 million-universe mailing list, in-house.
