FamilyFun plays up Disney connection, launches custom pub division

FamilyFun magazine is rebranding and launching a line of spin-off products and a custom publishing line in a rare growth push for media companies in this economy. The moms- and kids-focused monthly will be known as Disney FamilyFun, after its parent company, as of the August issue. The company's magazine publishing division is also changing its name, to Disney FamilyFun Group, all in an effort to make the most of combined brand power of Disney and the 2.1 million-circulation FamilyFun.
 

VirginMobile USA debuts wireless Internet on pay-as-you-go phone

Virgin Mobile USA has launched Broadband2Go, a 3G nationwide wireless Internet service, bringing 3G level wireless Internet to the pay-as-you-go mobile service. The Internet service was developed in conjunction with Novatel Wireless and runs on the Sprint Nationwide Network on Virgin's MC760 Broadband2Go device.
 

Duluth Trading taps Donnelley Marketing

Donnelley Marketing, a division of InfoGroup, has won list processing duties for multichannel retailer Duluth Trading Company. Duluth Trading Co., which sells workwear, tools, games and other "tradesmen" goods, has tapped Donnelley to handle its list rental fulfillment and all acquisition mailings, as well as merge/purge duties.
 

Financial industry group goes deeper into data

The Bank Administration Institute (BAI), a research company serving the financial services industry, has tapped DataMentors for data processing services. DataMentors is providing BAI Research with its DMValiData and DataFuse software, which the firm will use to help create its diagnostics and reports for member banks.
