Salesforce.com buys Jigsaw for $142M

Salesforce.com acquired business data company Jigsaw on April 21, in a bid to compete in the data services arena. The $142 million deal is expected to close in the second quarter of fiscal year 2011, which begins on May 1 of that year.
 

Rite Aid launches loyalty program nationwide

Pharmacy chain Rite Aid launched the Wellness+ loyalty program nationwide on April 19 at the conclusion of a six-month pilot program in Buffalo, NY; Greensboro, NC; Harrisburg, PA; and San Diego. Rite Aid worked with Marc's Pittsburgh office on the initiative.
