Rosetta, an independent digital marketing agency, has acquired healthcare marketing agency Wishbone for an undisclosed sum. Wishbone will retain its name and management team, and will be integrated into Rosetta's overall healthcare business as a separate professionally focused group. It will continue to operate from its New York offices.
 

UPS to cut 1,800 jobs by April

UPS disclosed on January 8 that it will cut about 1,800 management and administrative positions in an effort to streamline its US management structure. The shipper also announced that it will reduce the number of districts and regions in its domestic small package operation.

Travelocity is rolling out an integrated campaign to promote its winter travel sale. The effort is taking the "Roaming Gnome" character, known to consumers from previous ads, on tour again. The creative calls consumers to interact with the gnome by voting on his three winter trips on Travelocity social networking pages, and to share photos of themselves on their own winter trips. The campaign incorporates social media, search, display, e-mail and TV.
 

Nonprofit Tamika and Friends launches pledge campaign to fight cervical cancer

Tamika and Friends, a nonprofit that raises awareness of cervical cancer and its link to the human papilomavirus (HPV), is managing an integrated campaign urging women to take a pledge to get screened for the disease. The effort includes a microsite — www.PearlofWisdom.us/Pledge — a Twitter feed, Facebook fan and cause pages and e-mail elements.
 

TransUnion campaign promotes Zendough.com personal finance site

TransUnion Interactive, a company that provides financial services to consumers and direct marketing for businesses, launched an interactive financial planning Web site called Zendough.com this week. The firm is conducting a multichannel campaign to promote it.
 

Harland Clarke makes integrated, e-mail agency acquisitions

Harland Clarke, a San Antonio, TX-based marketing firm focused on the financial sector, has purchased e-mail firm SubscriberMail and integrated agency Protocol Integrated Marketing Services (IMS). Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
