Experian QAS, Jenzabar partner for higher ed data quality

Jenzabar, a database marketing platform used by more than 300 colleges and universities, has tapped Experian QAS to provide address verification software and services. With Experian QAS Pro and QAS Batch — front-end and back-end address verification tools — Jenzabar clients will be able to validate, clean, standardize and enrich address data for prospective students, students and alumni.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee (BCBST) has chosen Eliza Corp. to provide customer outreach call services as part of its new effort to be seen as a "health management" company. With Eliza, BCBST will enact various phone campaigns designed to encourage customer health and wellness. By engaging customers and informing them of BCBST's resources, the campaigns are expected to improve member retention.

Sixty percent of marketers are not making the most of e-mail campaigns because they are still using 'spray and pray' tactics, according to Forrester Research. Chase Card Services has released a new rewards card that targets affluent consumers called the Chase Sapphire, and is running an integrated marketing campaign that includes online ads, TV, print, events, PR and direct mail to promote it.

Discount retailer Big Lots Inc. will launch its first loyalty card program in the third quarter of this year. The Buzz Club card offers shoppers a discount when they make 10 purchases of more than $20 apiece.

Shopko to launch e-commerce Web site

General merchandise retailers Shopko Stores Operating Co. LLC will launch its first e-commerce Web site with the help of e-commerce services provider SpeedFC Inc. Shopko, which is owned by private investment firm Sun Capital Partners Inc., is a $2 billion retailer with stores located in 13 states throughout the Midwest, Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions.
 

Mike's Express Carwash begins e-mail program and sees 60% increase in online revenue

Mike's Express Carwash, a chain of 37 carwashes located across Indiana and Ohio, has found e-mail marketing to help clean up in online sales. The brand did its first e-mail marketing campaign, with partner ExactTarget, in June. Its just-released metrics show that the e-mail marketing program lifted online sales more than 60% for the month over sales in June 2008.
 

New healthcare e-mail lists available
