Kenshoo Search integrates Google Analytics

SEM technology provider Kenshoo Ltd. has integrated its end-to-end search marketing platform, Kenshoo Search, with the latest version of Google Analytics software. Marketers using Kenshoo will now be able to access all of their cross channel search data in Google Analytics for increased visibility, reporting and analysis.
 

New Rubicon service offers ad screening

The Rubicon Project has released its Ad Quality Protec­tion Program, which is designed to help keep unwanted ads, such as those containing adult content or promoting competitive brands, off of publishers' Web sites. "If an ad network puts an ad on a site that a publisher doesn't want, the publisher could termi­nate the ad network relationship in a heartbeat," said Frank Add­ante, founder and CEO of The Rubicon Project, based in Los Angeles.
 

TheFind.com partners with Glam Media Network

Shopping search engine TheFind.com has partnered with vertical content network Glam Media. The venture will enable Glam.com and other sites within the network to have access to TheFind's shopping search when searching for boutiques, item type or a particular label.
 

Google to pay $125 million in Book Search lawsuit

Google will pay $125 million in a settlement agreement with the Authors Guild and the Association of American Publishers (AAP) on behalf of authors and publishers worldwide. The lawsuit challenged Google's plan to show clips of content from copyrighted books without explicit consent from copyright owners.

Circuit City announces 155 US closures

Battered by a weak economy and tightening credit, Circuit City today said it would close 155 US stores and will reduce future openings. The closures will result in the loss of about 17% of its workforce. According to its Web site, the company had 42,974 employees as of February, so the cuts could mean up to about 7,300 jobs.
 

Today's Christian acquired, plans to relaunch

Significant Living, a sister ministry of Total Living International, has acquired Today's Christian magazine for an undisclosed sum. Today's Christian will relaunch as Significant Living's Today's Christian in January 2009. The two magazines will be fully combined as Significant Living by the middle of next year and are expected to reach 140,000 readers.

Transcontinental to consolidate direct mail facilities

Feeling the impact of the turmoil in the financial marketplace, Transcontinental Inc. said that its US direct mail subsidiary will consolidate production from its Warminster, PA, facility to a facility in Hamburg, PA. As a result, 460 positions are being eliminated in Warminster.

For Nissan, the third-largest Japanese automaker, which boasts the Altima, Sentra and Pathfinder in its fleet, 2008 has not been a banner year. US automobile sales have been on a downward slide, as consumers avoid car showrooms in the face of a declining economy and still-high gas prices.
