The volume of e-mail marketing messages sent on Black Friday and Cyber Monday hit an all-time high this year. However, according to e-mail vendor Pivotal Veracity, message deliverability was an issue for marketers.
 

Dynamic Logic, IRI partner to release measurement platform

Millward Brown's Dynamic Logic unit partnered with Information Resources Inc. to launch a measurement platform this week that seeks to tie offline purchasing behavior to online advertising and marketing efforts. Called AdIndex Connects with IRI, the platform lets consumer packaged goods companies see how online ad campaigns impact consumer perceptions of a brand, as well as whether Web-based efforts drive sales.
 

Cheil Worldwide acquires Barbarian Group

Cheil Worldwide, a Korea-based agency, acquired a majority stake in New York-based digital firm The Barbarian Group this week. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Barbarian, founded in 2001, will keep its brand and office. Its three founders will continue to run the company. The deal, signed December 2, is expected to close next week.
 

KeyBank renews AOR partnership with Purple@Epsilon

KeyBank has renewed its agency of record relationship with Purple@Epsilon after an RFP process. The agency will provide direct marketing services, including strategy, direct mail production and analytic support. Neither company would disclose the specifics of the contract, but they said that terms are set on an annual basis.

The Convention Industry Council awarded MGI Lists management of its Certified Meeting Professionals Masterfile on December 3.
