Euro RSCG Chicago names co-presidents

Jamie King, previously president and CEO of Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco, will become co-president of Euro RSCG Chicago with Joy Schwartz, previously executive director of Euro RSCG Chicago. They will report to Ron Bess, CEO of Euro RSCG Chicago and COO of Euro RSCG North America.
 

Oracle adds to health industry offerings with Relsys acquisition

Oracle has acquired Relsys International Inc., which produces drug safety and risk management analytics software, in a deal that is expected to close in the first half of this year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With FY08 net revenues down, Williams-Sonoma to focus on "value" in 2009

Coming off a fourth quarter and fiscal year with double-digit revenue declines, Williams-Sonoma Inc. is promising a greater focus on "value" and further catalog circulation reductions in 2009. The multichannel merchant that operates such brands as Potter Barn, West Elm and Williams-Sonoma, said net revenues in the fourth quarter ended February 3 decreased 26.7% for a total of $1.008 billion. Comparable store sales dropped 22.3% on a 13-week to 13-week comparison.
 

Expedia expands e-mail efforts to Asia Pacific region

Expedia is expanding its e-mail program into Australia, New Zealand and India. The travel site will be working with e-mail services firm e-Dialog, its current e-mail provider, to expand its e-mail newsletter and marketing activities into these Asia-Pacific marketplaces.
