Lars Bastholm is joining Ogilvy North America as chief digital creative officer with responsibility for Ogilvy's digital creative work across North America. Bastholm, who was co-chief creative officer at AKQA prior to joining Ogilvy, served as chief jurist for the 2009 Cannes Cyber Lions.

Britney Spears, Candie's and Kohl's team up for campaign

Candie's, an accessories brand sold exclusively at Kohl's department stores, is launching a spring marketing campaign featuring Britney Spears that includes print, online, direct mail, e-mail blasts, radio and outdoor billboards. Iconix Brand Group Inc., which markets the Candie's brand, also will partner with US Weekly to help launch the campaign, with almost 4 million full-size, limited edition, pull-out posters appearing exclusively in the magazine's April 15 issue.
 

Yahoo Mobile expands services

Yahoo Mobile is growing its business by expanding its services into new countries and with new product offerings. After announcing the expansion at the Mobile World Congress in February, Yahoo Mobile's new personalized mobile homepage is now available in eight countries across Europe, Asia and the Americas including the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, India, Indonesia and the Philippines, with additional localized versions expected to launch over the next several months.
 

Zillow.com, newspapers to launch co-branded real estate sites

Real estate Web site Zillow.com is teaming up with 180 newspapers nationwide to launch co-branded real estate Web sites. The partnership expands the scope of the Zillow Newspaper Consortium, which was formed in November 2007 with 11 major newspaper publishers. Under that earlier agreement, newspaper sales teams sell featured listings and advertising inventory on Zillow.com to local real estate advertisers.
 

OneRiot launches own version of Twitter search

Real time search engine OneRiot has launched a new Twitter search engine. Different from search.twitter.com, which shows real-time user Tweets including a search query, twitter.oneriot.com's results will include the actual Web content that users on Twitter are talking about and linking to.

Consumers can expect to see a new media mix — heavy on online and broadcast efforts — with Jeep's marketing this year, thanks to predictive analytics work from Organic agency. Organic, which has been Jeep's digital AOR for close to a decade, used econometric modeling to build a new predictive analytics model for the carmaker. The model took macroeconomic data, demand history, media plans and the price of gas, among other things, into account and, with it, Organic was able to predict Jeep retail sales for 2008 to within 1%.
