Do ad agencies "get" search? While the question has become something of an industry cliché, the answers vary based on who is being questioned and the time period during which the debate is held. Given continued consolidation and the evolving definition of search, the 2003 response is no longer valid in 2008. And this is precisely why I agreed to moderate a session at SMX East on the topic - with a twist.

Microsoft has released Silverlight 2, a solution meant to aid in the creation and delivery of Web applications. Silverlight 2 improves upon Silverlight, which was launched over a year ago and now reaches one in four worldwide consumers with access to Silverlight-enabled computers.
 

Facebook integrates Live Search

Facebook has integrated Microsoft's Live Search into its user interface. US Facebook users now have the option to search Facebook or the Web using Microsoft's offering, in the toolbar at the top of Facebook pages, without leaving the site.
