Allergan, the maker of Botox Cosmetic, has launched a campaign called "My expressions of kindness." The effort is encouraging consumers to post stories of kind acts online to raise money for charity. Allergan worked with agency In Touch on the online and social media components, as well as Chandler Chicco Agency on media relations.
Darden Restaurants, owner of the Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse and Capital Grille chains, has promoted John Caron to the newly created role of CMO. He was previously EVP of marketing for the Olive Garden brand.
Marketers allocated more of their marketing spend last year than in 2008 to targeting Hispanic consumers.
