Yahoo settles with investor Carl Icahn

To avoid a proxy fight, Yahoo will appoint activist investor Carl Icahn to its board, in addition to two new members. As part of the agreement, Icahn, who owns approximately 5% of Yahoo common stock, has agreed to withdraw his nominees for consideration at the company's annual meeting on August 1 and to vote in support of the board's nominees, Yahoo said.

Database / Circulation Analyst Leader

Position Summary
Lead all aspects of the direct marketing database: circulation/list management, data hygiene and data information strategy.

Responsibilities
Serve as direct marketing database strategist, working with IT to create new fields for customer segmentation. Oversee and develop marketing database hygiene tactics and hygiene team. Serve as an internal consultant for marketing, leveraging an understanding of the market and database. Work with Marketing Department to develop targeted mailing lists. Actively monitors and tracks available technology related to customer relationship management and direct marketing opportunities.

Experience/Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Database Marketing or related field. Master's Degree preferred. 1+ years experience in direct marketing or database marketing environment. Foundational understanding of database management, customer file management, direct mail circulation planning, database marketing. Experience with B to B circulation and databases.
