New York's Metropolitan Opera has tapped Epicor Retail SaaS to support the Met Opera Shop, a bricks and mortar retail business that just completed renovations in November 2008. Epicor Retail SaaS offers CRM modules, as well as store, merchandising, audit and operations management tools.
 

Oracle adds to health industry offerings with Relsys acquisition

Oracle has acquired Relsys International Inc., which produces drug safety and risk management analytics software, in a deal that is expected to close in the first half of this year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
 

Worldata launches research division

Direct and interactive marketing company Worldata launched a new corporate division, Worldata Research, this week. The company also launched a companion Web site, ListPriceIndex.com.
 

Cambria turns to custom mag for engagement

Cambria, a producer of natural quartz countertops, has launched its first custom publication, Cambria Style, as part of a new push for consumer engagement. The glossy magazine will be sent to 18,000 Cambria customers in the brand's best-served geographic regions, including Charlotte, Toronto and Chicago. Customers tend to be high-income baby boomers, like spokeswoman and cover model Cheryl Tiegs.

If the Federal Government was in the road construction business it would currently be erecting huge stop signs in front of every bank in America.
