E-Dialog acquires MBS for $22.5 million

E-mail marketing firm e-Dialog has acquired database marketing company MBS from World Marketing Inc. for approximately $22.5 million in cash. It is the second acquisition in a month for e-Dialog, which bought Philadelphia-based mobile services company M3 on April 21.

PepsiCo to launch geotargeted CRM iPhone app

PepsiCo will launch a mobile loyalty application for the iPhone this month to connect consumers with fast-food restaurants that sell its products. Mobile services firm Zumobi created the app.
 

Harte-Hanks reports 8% Q1 revenue decrease

Direct marketing agency Harte-Hanks reported an 8% year-over-year decrease in its first-quarter revenues. The company said it was the smallest quarterly revenue decline since Q3 2008. Total Q1 revenues were $200.2 million. Net income was up more than 50% year-over-year to $10.8 million in Q1 2009.
 

Audi teams with Paramount, Marvel for 'Iron Man 2' video competition

Audi of America has partnered with Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment on a campaign promoting its cars and the motion picture 'Iron Man 2,' which hits theaters May 7. The "Tony Stark Challenge" push includes a contest, e-mail, user-generated content, banner and in-theater ads, social media and television spots.
