Hard Rock debuts mobile CRM program

Hard Rock International rolled out a mobile marketing CRM program this week in a move to acquire new customers and build loyalty among existing ones. The program, created with mobile marketing firm Air2Web, includes three SMS components. Hard Rock will use mobile marketing to promote Hard Rock Cafes, Rock Shops, Hotels, events and products.
 

Chrysler chooses Meredith for CRM

Chrysler Group has tapped Meredith Integrated Marketing to manage its CRM initiatives in the US and Canada. This hire builds on the companies' existing relationship, as Meredith also manages the automaker's custom publishing.
 

Carnival names Borden VP, customer marketing

Rob Borden joined Carnival Cruise Lines as VP of customer marketing on December 7. He is overseeing the company's direct and e-mail marketing efforts, including its loyalty programs and co-branded credit card. Those efforts are designed to grow ticket and onboard revenues across all distribution channels, according to a statement from Carnival.
 

InfoGroup launches b-to-b data product

Database marketing giant InfoGroup announced on December 7 it has launched a co-operative database called the B2B DataWarehouse. The new product combines information, such as business executives' postal, telephone and e-mail contact information, from several different lists.
 

Gaming site PKR.com picks Unica to improve e-mail program

PKR.com, a poker Web site, is working with interactive marketing company Unica on its international e-mail program. The site is implementing Unica's software into its technology system, a process expected to be complete by early next year. PKR.com uses e-mail for retention purposes, specifically to encourage customers to return to the site and play more.
 

Publishers use Demandbase tracking platform

Business-to-business CRM software maker Demandbase this week released an analytics tool, Demandbase Professional, which tracks ad traffic by matching visitors' IP addresses to a database containing professional information.
