Postal Service sees $2.5B June loss

The US Postal Service has reported a net loss of nearly $2.5 billion for June, a significant increase from the $1.3 billion reported in the same period last year. Total operating revenue was down 5.6% to $5.1 billion in the month.

Deluxe movie theater chain Gold Class Cinemas launched an e-mail marketing campaign August 8 inviting members of its loyalty program to free 'Eat, Pray, Love' cooking demonstrations tied to the film's settings. The e-mail blast was created internally.
 

Quad/Graphics reports Q2 loss

Commercial printing company Quad/Graphics saw an operating loss of $23.7 million in the second quarter of 2010, as well as a net loss of $35.6 million. The company, which closed its acquisition of Worldcolor July 2, saw an operating profit of $8.2 million for Q2 2009 but a net loss of $7.2 million for the same period.
